Parka & Dress

Well guys, you may think from the pictures ‘what the heck, why is she wearing a dress, it’s so freezing cold outside these days’ but let me tell you, after the huge snow storms around christmas we now had some days where it felt like spring with many hours of sunshine and much warmer temperatures. So I decided to go for my favourite dress by Diane von Furstenberg and some nice heels as well as my new parka from Zara. It was the perfect outfit because the parka kept me super warm when there was a slight wind blowing and I think it looks amazing paired with the dress and the heels, not to forget the Prada bag and the Mawi necklace I combined with it.
What do you guys think about the look ?

Sale picks

As you may have already recognized, the sales are going nuts right now with so many discounts and offers that are often hard to resist. I personally prefer online shopping in the sales because you can find exactly what you want without browsing through many racks. And the feeling of opening a package is awesome right ? So here they are, my favorite sale picks. Happy shopping guys !

A new chapter

Okay guys, finally, after months of work ( and sometimes headache ) here it is : the new Strange Obsessions !

I can’t even tell you how happy I am that finally I can share with you this new design – it took quite some time but I couldn’t be more content with the way everything turned out. I moved from Blogger to WordPress, learned very much about coding and design to make everything as perfect as possible and now here we are.

This new layout definitely is ‘me’. I wanted something elegant and a bit edgy and it turned out perfect. I didn’t want a buzzing colorful design anymore because I think the focus should stay on the most important thing here on Strange Obsessions : the content.

I hope you will continue the journey with me in 2015 and of course : Happy new year !

Lots of love,

#MusicObsession : Currently on repeat

Hey lovelies ! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and beginning of december, the month of the most awesome festivities !

With many parties around the corner, I thought it would be interesting for you to give a listen to some of my favorite songs at the moment, I’ve discovered so many songs that I love in the past weeks that I just had to share them with you.

Music is such an important part of my life, it can bring out so many emotions in you and there is really never a day of my life without listening to music and singing along to it.

Do you have some of your favorites for me ?

Post them in the comments or drop them on my instagram @strangeobsessions

Christian, Louis & Diane

Todays article is all about classic iconic pieces by three of my favourite brands : Christian Louboutin, Louis Vuitton and Diane von Furstenberg. You never fail to look classy with these timeless chic items combined : the beautiful lace dress by DVF in black, the legendary Louis Vuitton Speedy bag in Damier Ebene print and of course Louboutin’s red soled classic pumps. Paired with red lipstick and nude manicure to match the outfit you’re good to go ! I love these kinds of outfits, it doesn’t always take much effort to look chic and elegant. And at the same time, these killer heels are so comfortable !

I never had pumps that I could wear all day without a blister therapy needed afterwards. So, good job, Christian !

And the best thing about these iconic finds ? I know that they will last me years to come and only get more beautiful. There’s nothing better than wearing these beautiful shoes you danced with so many times and a bag that has carried your half life through the world already. I love it when they have stories to tell !

Mirrored Ray Bans

Here we go ! I am back after quite a time now because I had to deal with some small issues job and life wise and didn’t have so much time the last weeks but now everything’s just fine and I’m ready to go !
When my boyfriend and me went to the city last week I decided to get out my mirrored Ray Ban sunnies I got from the sweet team at Lensbest and I just love them to death ! They just spice up every simple outfit and I can’t wait to get my hands on this red-orange version as well.
I paired them with my suede leather jacket, a nice pair of jeans and of course my Jeffrey Campbell Litas. You’ve probably seen them like a million times on every blog but I just adore them and they make your legs look so good, don’t you think ?

Beauty Talk : Favourite Summer Scents

I love sunshine and summer, how about you ? It’s just so nice to stroll around short clothes and living easy instead of packing up for snow and rain and watching you’re not getting a flu from being cold.
I just put on a romper and sandals these days, getting my hair up in a chignon and put on a bit of BB cream and lip polish – and I’m ready to go.
And of course I never leave the house without a spritz of a nice summery scent.
I’ve always loved nice perfumes and I have to admit I got quite a collection –
so I have some of my all time summer favourites to show you today !

Miss Dior‘ by Dior

One of my all time favourite perfumes ever is a real classic : ‘Miss Dior’ by Dior. You may know that I love their make-up already and of course their clothing and accessories ( I mean how can someone not want a Lady Dior bag ? Come on. ) and it’s not anything from it with their perfumes. And I am such a sucker for nice packaging – they just got me with the houndstooth pattern on the bottom of the bottle and this little ribbon. ‘Miss Dior’ is a fruity fresh slightly citrussy scent with a floral heart – perfect for summertime.

Ginger Essence and White Tea‘ by Rituals

Another favourite of mine is Rituals’ ‘Ginger Essence and White Tea’ perfume. It’s a perfect mix of citrussy, floral and subtle smelling ingredients that just add up to a sexy summer scent. I also love their bottles because I think the closure is just so unique : a little wooden brick engraved with the Rituals logo. So cool ! I am definitely getting my hands on some of their other scents too now that I loved this one so much.

Acqua di Gioia‘ by Giorgio Armani

You probably can remember the ad for this one – at least I do. Stunning Emily Di Donato looking at you with her beautiful blue eyes. Imagine a scent to the scenery on the advert – it’s exactly what ‘Acqua di Gioia’ smells like. This is definitely one of the freshest scents I’ve ever smelt and I love it. It has glimpses of mint and citron, jasmine and brown sugar and let me tell you : it smells divine.

Light Blue‘ by Dolce & Gabbana

This one is an absolute classic and that is totally understandable. It’s a perfect blend of jasmine, amber, bamboo, rose, cedar and traces of apple. You probably can’t imagine all of that together so I’d suggest that you go to the store and try it next time because it really is worth it believe me !

I woke up like this

Hey loves ! Time for a new outfit post on the blog. This one has been one of my favourites in the last weeks because it’s casual but cool at the same time. When I saw the ‘I woke up like this’ shirt I just had to have it !
It just adds a twist to a simple outfit. Paired with my new yellow Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAC and some gold accessories to go with my MiuMiu suede heels, it’s just perfect for a trip to the city or running errands.

The Gommino

What have you guys been up to lately ? With the beautiful weather outside this outfit was my go to style the last weeks.
It’s just so comfy ! Of course I wore my Tod’s Gommino loafers for running errands in the city –
they’re super light and make you feel like you’re walking on air.
I don’t wear flats that often and I am a total high heel girl but I just fell in love with these ! Isn’t the mint green colour super gorgeous ? Perfect for summer time !
By the way, if you love Tod’s Gomminos as much as I do, you can share your images wearing the iconic flats on the
new site they just initiated and don’t forget to tag your instagram pics with #todsgommino.
